THE BROTHERS WARNER

This documentary has been shown at many film festivals and has been greatly received by critics and viewers. It’s also been shown as a feature documentary on PBS. Bettie’s sensitive piano playing is used extensively throughout the soundtrack for this important film.

MEAT LOAF
Bat Out of Hell III

Bettie plays pipe organ on this Meat Loaf album. As you can see in the photos below, Bettie is having a great time at the recording session at Hollywood Presbyterian Church. Her work as a rockin’ pipe organist can be heard on the cuts Monstro, Alive and Seize the Night. The album is certified Gold.

Do yourself a favor and listen to these passionate and exceptional examples of Wagnerian rock pumped up to a high point of dramatic intensity by Bettie's pipe organ throughout. It sounds like all the forces of good are smashing free of their chains and blasting their way heaven-ward through the power of song. Whew! You can hear the incredible dynamic difference between Bettie's pipe organ playing on these songs as compared to the Christmas album above.

Other recordings by BETTIE ROSS include pipe organ on Marc Wirtz's HOTHOUSE SMILES,
piano and electric piano on
GLIDER, and piano and string arrangements on Mark Boal's IGNITION.

Here are two samples of Bettie's very first professional recording session ever. These recordings were done in 1973 at Whitney Studios in Los Angeles, California by Marc Wirtz, who had done several of the arrangements for the Beatles on Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and on The White Album. On these songs, Marc is the songwriter and singer as well as the arranger. The engineer, Geoffrey Emmerick, was one of the engineers for the Beatles on four of their albums, including The White Album and Abbey Road. On Hothouse Smiles, Geoffrey was doing his very first session in the United States. Bettie was in stellar company for her first session.
